Breeding Standards
We follow strict breeding criteria to maintain the integrity of the Central Asian Shepherd:
Health Testing: All breeding dogs undergo hip and elbow dysplasia screening (OFA and PennHIP) and genetic testing to ensure they are free from hereditary conditions.
Temperament Selection: We only breed dogs with stable temperaments, emphasizing protectiveness, intelligence, confidence, and strong nerve strength without unnecessary aggression.
Conformation & Structure: Our dogs adhere to the FCI breed standard, ensuring proper bone structure, coat type, and overall physical soundness.
Workability & Guardian Instincts: We evaluate our breeding stock for natural guardian ability, endurance, and adaptability to different environments, including farms, ranches, and family homes.
Puppy Development & Socialization
We implement an intensive puppy raising program to set our puppies up for success:
Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS): Helps puppies develop resilience and adaptability.
Livestock & Environmental Exposure: Puppies are introduced to goats, sheep, chickens, turkey, guinea fowl, rabbits, cats, various new environments, and children.
Temperament Testing: Conducted at 6-8 weeks to match puppies with appropriate homes based on their drive, confidence, and temperament.
Placement & Owner Support
We carefully select homes for our puppies, ensuring they go to responsible owners who understand the needs of a working guardian breed. We provide lifetime breeder support, training advice, and resources to help our dogs thrive in their new environments.
